In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. Your role and responsibilities As an Application Developer: Cloud FullStack, you will develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components. You will utilize expertise in multiple layers of application development to deliver efficient and secure cloud-based solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Develop Applications: Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases. • Apply DevOps Methodologies: Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications. • Collaborate on Cloud Environments: Work with senior level practitioners to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools. • Integrate Multiple Technologies: Integrate multiple technologies, including Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions. Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise • Cloud Application Development: Exposure to developing and deploying cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases. • Multi-Layered Application Development: Experience working with multiple layers of application development, including front-end technologies such as Angular, React, CSS3, and HTML5, and back-end technologies such as Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, and Groovy. • DevOps Methodologies: Exposure to utilizing DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications. • Cloud Environment Maintenance: Experience working with cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools. • Technology Integration: Exposure to integrating multiple technologies, including REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions. Preferred technical and professional experience • Cloud Security Knowledge: Exposure to implementing cloud security measures, including network security and access control, to ensure the integrity of cloud-based applications. • Advanced DevOps Tools: Experience working with advanced DevOps tools and methodologies to optimize the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications. • Multi-Cloud Environments: Exposure to designing, building, and maintaining multi-cloud environments, focusing on uptime, scalability, and automation. Become a Microsoft Copilot Student Ambassador and help fellow college students discover how Copilot can support learning, creativity, productivity, and everyday life. As a Copilot Student Ambassador, you will help spread awareness of Microsoft Copilot through creative content, campus events, community engagement, and social media. You will collaborate with other ambassadors, connect with the Copilot team, and provide feedback to help improve the student experience. Eligibility: • Must be a full-time student • Must use Copilot • Must be enrolled at an affiliated four-year university • Students from all majors and backgrounds are welcome Responsibilities may include: • Creating social media/content about Copilot • Organizing or supporting campus events • Engaging with students and student communities • Sharing feedback with Microsoft • Participating in ambassador training and activities Time commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per week.
